The Token Mindset Crypto-Investing Approach

Hi! If you're reading this, you're either currently involved in the world of crypto assets or contemplating a leap into this exciting space, eager to glean insights from others (congratulations!). Let me begin by emphasizing that, while I'm a steadfast believer in the long-term potential, investing your hard-earned money inherently carries risks. The crypto sphere, known for its heightened volatility, is no exception. Personally, I've chosen to invest with the full acknowledgment that every cent I put in is at risk of being lost, understanding the unpredictable nature of the world that might potentially impact all markets. It's crucial to note that nothing in this article constitutes financial advice; rather, it offers a glimpse into my personal strategy as we gear up for what I perceive as the onset of the next crypto bull run. Please, don’t run out and buy the coins listed below just because I have. Do your own research and understand what you are putting your hard-earned money into. Now, setting that aside, here's a peek into my individual crypto approach for building generational wealth!

The following coins constitute my altcoin portfolio. Why is Bitcoin not listed? Well, Bitcoin is not an altcoin, and I expect these altcoins will facilitate buying more Bitcoin at a later date. While I believe Bitcoin is a store of value, I do not believe it will produce the gains this bull cycle comparable to those found within the altcoin market. As such, the first category includes my 'safer' altcoin bets and all rank within the top 15 tokens by market cap. I consider them utility tokens with at least a 5x potential from the current price point:

• Ethereum (#2)

• XRP (#5)

• Solana (#7)

• Cardano (#9)

• Chainlink (#12)

• Polygon (#15)

The next set of coins are my more speculative bets for this bull run, falling within #16-#50 in terms of market cap. While riskier than the previous tokens, I believe they have the potential to reach at least an 8x from the current price.

• Polkadot (#16)

• Hedera (#34)

• ThorChain (#43)

• Quant (45)

Lastly, these coins are my 'degen' ('dee-jen') tokens, and are highly speculative with the potential for the highest risk-to-reward ratio. While they have the potential to reach a 20x or higher in this bull run, they also carry the highest risk of going bust. I am particularly interested in the gaming/GameFi token space and its potential in this bull run. This is my portfolio and thesis—do your own research.

-These categories represent my largest holdings in each area. While I hold additional tokens in each category, they are not significant positions and are not listed here.

-Why no meme coins? I've chosen to eliminate that level of risk from my investing thesis. I do not buy into pump-and-dump schemes often associated with meme coins. Buying a newly introduced meme coin, in my opinion, is akin to playing the lotto—it may work for 1:1,000,000,000, but I prefer projects with long-term utility and lower risk to reward ratio.

-Over-diversification can potentially stifle crypto gains, and while I acknowledge this, my portfolio has naturally grown over time to accommodate significant positions in the listed tokens. You must make your own decisions on how many tokens to invest in with your available capital.

-As for trading, I'm not a trader. While leverage trading is tempting, my experience suggests that the majority of crypto leverage traders end up wiped out regularly. Thus, my strategy is to buy, HODL, and take profits incrementally when this bull market gains momentum.
